Black and white aerial view of the La Grande Chartreuse convent, surrounded by forests and religious buildings. Printed text at the bottom: 'La Grande Chartreuse - A Corner of the Convent'. Reverse: handwritten letter dated May 19, 1941, sent from St. Vaumont to Jean Patuille, a student at the Collège de Marneffe, Belgium, with a 10-centime French postage stamp and a cancellation from St. Vaumont (Hauts-de-France).
