Rural scene showing a group of peasants around a fireplace, with roasted chestnuts. Printed text at the bottom: 'When the moon is up, and in the cottage a fire of branches is glowing, around the hearth, everyone gathers, children and adults; and you have to see this group of our peasants stuffing themselves with roasted chestnuts before going to bed, they prolong the evening until midnight.'
