Interior view of the castle of La Houblonnière, dating from the 16th century, showing stone architecture with an arched entrance door and mullioned windows. The reverse features handwritten correspondence addressed to Mr. and Mrs. Basset in Montreuil-l'Argille, with a note of the date '10 o'clock, happy day' and a note about a visit to Mr. Gransley. A 10-centime French Republic stamp is affixed at the top left.
