Dramatic view of the jetty under a storm with enormous waves crashing against the wall, a lighthouse visible in the background and a few human silhouettes on the dock. Reverse: handwritten letter addressed to 'Monsieur petit Mathieu' in Charente, with a postage stamp and a postmark from 'CHARENTE LES BAINS' dated August 31, 1908.
