Description

View of the gate of the convent of Notre-Dame de la Garde in La Neuville-en-Hez, dated 16-8-10. Printed text explains that this 18th-century remnant was the only remaining part of the Cordeliers convent, which also served as a state prison and a departmental asylum. Back: address to Monsieur Maurice Latmier in Paris, correspondence signed 'Bourdonnais' and a 5-centime French postage stamp.
