Marble basin from Carrara, 4 meters in diameter, presented in 1500 by the Venetians to Cardinal d'Amboise, minister of Louis XII, in recognition of having persuaded his master to drive out the Milanese Siorzes. Placed in 1754 in the gardens of Liancourt and transported in 1911 to the castle of La Roche-FOUCAULD. Reverse: handwritten correspondence, address to 'Monsieur et Madame', publisher F. Braun, Photo-Editor, Royan (Charente-Inférieure).
