View of the Saint-Jean Gate, called Breilh, a medieval gate with a full-round arch, framed by old buildings with signs such as 'Restaurant Hôtel Café' and 'Poissons Primeurs'. On the reverse, a handwritten letter praises the 'very pleasant town' and mentions 'the Paris Convention'. French postmark of 1923, cancellation from La Souterraine.
