Description

Sculpture of the Tarasque, a legendary monster ravaging the banks of the Rhône, depicted with scales and a spiky crest. Printed text at the bottom: 'Monster that, according to tradition, ravaged the banks of the Rhône and was tamed by Saint Martha. The people of Tarascon celebrate their deliverance by displaying a replica of this monster through the streets of the city.'
