Postcard illustrating the simulacrum of the Tarasque, a legendary monster ravaging the banks of the Rhône according to Tarascon tradition, and destroyed by Sainte-Marthe. Printed text at the bottom: 'Monster that, according to tradition, ravaged the banks of the Rhône and was tamed by Sainte-Marthe. The Tarascon people celebrate their deliverance by displaying a simulacrum of this monster through the city.' Reverse: handwritten correspondence dated 11/7/1923, mentioning the hospital, cathedral, statue of Sainte-Marthe, and the Virgin Chapel.
