Description

Postcard illustrating four landscapes of Lakeland: a lake reflecting the mountains, a winding path through a valley, a panoramic view of the hills, and a stream in the forest. On the reverse, handwritten French text mentions a magical journey in Cumberland, with references to Blea Tarn, Hard Knott Pass, and Cockley Beck. Two stamps of Queen Elizabeth II (2d and 3d) are affixed, with partial cancellation from Kirkby-in-Cleveland. The address is to Le Mans, France.
