View of the prefecture in Laon with its stone portals and metal grille in front of a building with shutters. A few people in period clothing stand near the entrance. On the reverse, handwritten correspondence addressed to Mme Vacerra Mhed, 30 rue Carnot, Paris, with a red stamp and postal cancellation from Laon (Aisne) dated 15 October 1905.
