Black and white view of a medieval stone gate, flanked by round towers, in a paved street. The reverse has a handwritten letter dated May 17, 1953, sent from Laon (Aisne) to Hélène Leroy in Le Raincy, with a 12-cent French postage stamp and a Laon cancellation.
