Mountainous landscape of the Valley of Hell in Auvergne, with steep mountains and a tree in the foreground. The reverse side features a handwritten letter dated August 13, 1935, sent from Puy-de-Dôme to Paris, with a 40-centime postage stamp and a postmark from Mont-Dore.
