Black and white view of the ruins of the Château de Lavardin, with a path below. Printed text at the bottom of the front: 'Almanach Vermot' and 'Phot. Archives du Touring Club de France'. Reverse: historical text indicating that the castle was rebuilt in the 11th and 12th centuries, and that Charles VII stayed there, while Henri IV ordered its demolition.
