View of the medieval castle with a round tower and the neoclassical Palace of Justice in Alençon, with the inscription 'PALAIS DE JUSTICE' above the entrance. Reverse: handwritten address to Mme Monthilin in Clermont-Ferrand, green 20-centime stamp, cancellation from Alençon dated 18-1-1902, and a destination stamp to Clermont-Ferrand.
