Vintage postcard showing the Castle of Essalois, an ancient Gallo-Roman fortress overlooking the gorges of the Loire at Saint-Victor, at an altitude of 647 m. The reverse features a handwritten letter addressed to Marie Locie Serrel in Louvresse, with two 10-centime stamps and a postmark from Loire in Ardeche dated October 2, 1942.
