Description

Postcard showing the Fort of l'Écluse, a fortified structure embedded in a rocky promontory, with an arched entrance and stone buildings. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated July 14, 1908, addressed to M. Mourey in Ossun, with a postmark from Chanay (Ain) dated July 20, 1908. Two 5-centime stamps of the French Republic are affixed at the bottom left.
