Description

Humorous scene depicting a man in Falaise costume (white hat, heeled shoes) offering a lantern to another man in guard uniform (white belt, sword). The printed text at the bottom of the front refers to an arrest for leaving without a light from his candle. On the reverse, the publisher is A. Dihoung, publisher in Cammas (Caldados), and the correspondence is addressed to Mr. Édouardane Gouttier in Thierserville, with handwritten text indicating 'Wanted that I have difficulty spoiling you'. Two green 15-centime stamps of the French Republic are affixed, with a cancellation stamp of 'CANNES'.
