Black and white view of the Sarrans dam, located in a canyon between rocky cliffs, with an artificial lake in the background. The reverse features handwritten correspondence dated April 18, 1936, addressed to cousins, and a printed legend describing the dam as a wall over 100 metres high that holds back the waters of the Truyère for 30 kilometres in length and 100 metres in depth. The publisher is indicated as 'Photo Hélias'.
