Description

View of the Château de Chaintré, whose oldest façade dates back to the 15th century, with an inscription mentioning its occupation in 1422 by François Bernard, known as the Captain of Chaintré, an ardent Huguenot. The reverse has a handwritten note dated 14-8-31, addressed to Madame Étiennette at the avenue de la République, with an affectionate message.
