The printed text says: 'The Mayor to the Newlyweds: The Marriage Contract, my children, is a lifelong compromise and for the parties to enjoy it, the Contract must be valid.' On the reverse, handwritten correspondence and a partially obliterated postmark dated 10.3.39 are visible.
