Description

View of the pedestal group of the Chanzy statue in Le Mans, depicting soldiers in action with a cannon. On the reverse, a postcard sent to Madame Biffault in Villefranche-sur-Saône, with a red 1 franc stamp and a cancellation from Martrige dated 23/4/42. The handwritten writing expresses an affectionate message to the grandmother.
