Statue of General Chanzy in Le Mans, erected on August 16, 1885 in memory of the Army of the Loire, which defended the city in January 1871 against the German invasion. The base bears the inscription 'A CHANZY DE LA LOIRE 1870-1871'. The Croixy bas-relief is visible at the base of the monument. The reverse is blank, with a handwritten address and number '42' at the top left.
