View of the Puy du Sancy in Auvergne, with a small building at the foot of the mountain. Poetic text printed at the top: 'Dominating the ravines like a citadel...'. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated April 2, 1930, addressed to 'Dear Yvonne', with a signature 'Pierre'.
