Colorized aerial view of Mont Saint-Michel, with its abbey and buildings perched on a rocky island surrounded by a marsh. The reverse indicates the publisher 'Cap 116' and photographer Robert Durandaud. The postal stamp is marked with an 8-franc blue stamp and a circular cancellation from Bagnolles-de-L'Orne dated 14 September 1953, with handwritten address to 'M. et Mme Trichet' in Bagnolles-de-L'Orne.
