View of the old castle of Le Neubourg, whose pointed-arch bay decorated with small columns is the only remarkable remnant. The printed text recalls that it witnessed in 1160 the marriage of Marguerite, daughter of Louis VII, and that in 1660 an opera called 'Toison d'Or' was performed there. Reverse: handwritten correspondence addressed to Monsieur Georges Lemaitre in Anthié, with postmark and post office stamp from Le Neubourg.
