Panoramic view of the snow-capped summit of Le Pelvoux (3954 m.) and the Route d'Ailefroide au Claux, with a stone bridge below. The reverse features a handwritten letter dated 6 August 1950, sent from the Hotel des Serins in Valloncico to F. Le Monnier in Jonneville, with two 20-centime stamps and a Calvados cancellation.
