Description

Postcard showing a bronze statue of Léon Trulin, a young soldier who died for France in 1915, with the inscription: « I forgive everyone, friends and enemies. I grant mercy because no one does to me. » The reverse mentions the publisher Lucien Pollet, Lille, and a quote from Philippe Kah: « From the battlefield of war, from the remains of his own body, he made rise, wonderful flower, the Heroism that Forgives. » The card has a partial postmark and a red stain at the bottom right.
