Description

Monochrome illustration of a dramatic maritime scene where three men in a boat struggle against rough waves, with a barrel floating nearby. The title 'The Wreck' is printed at the bottom. On the reverse, an advertisement for 'LA CAMPAGNE et de L'ALMANACH AGRICOLE' and a handwritten letter dated Wednesday, July 5, 1916, addressed to René in Paris, mentioning the sending of 'Serbian insignias' and a 'Galliani gold medal by Moilllard'.
