Illustration of the four sergeants Bories, Raoulx, Goubin and Pommier, involved in the conspiracy of General Berton in Saumur in 1822, condemned to death and beheaded in Paris. Printed text at the bottom of the front details their arrest and execution. Reverse: postal stamp not visible, cancellation 'GARDIEN' at top left, blank writing area.
