Description

View of the 11th-century Romanesque church at Les Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, with its apse and tower. The text indicates that the crypt and Saint-Michel chapel were restored under King René, and that an annual pilgrimage takes place on May 25. The reverse has handwritten address to Algeria, a 10-centime postage stamp, and a cancellation from Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer dated April 6, 1908.
