Description

View of the Romanesque church of Les Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, whose crypt and Saint Michael chapel were restored under the reign of René. An annual pilgrimage is held on May 25 in honor of Marie-Jacobé, Marie-Salomé, and their servant Sara, whose bodies are preserved in the sanctuary. Printed text at the bottom of the card attributes the photograph to Blanchin, Tarascon.
