On the reverse, a postcard dated May 21, 1949, sent from Charmes (Vosges) to Mrs. Victor-Hugo in Rhône, with handwritten text 'Respectful Remembrances of Lorraine' signed by G. Michel. Two French stamps (3 and 5 francs) are affixed, with a postmark of 'CHARMES' and a cancellation of 'MÂCON'.
