Description

Interior view of a Gothic church with pointed arch vaults, massive pillars, an ornate chancel with an altar and reredos, and rows of wooden chairs. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated July 20, 1955, sent from Lescure (Cantal) to Abbé R. Michel in Roanne (Loire), mentioning a trip to Touraine and Auvergne, and a questionnaire about work. French Republic 12-centime postmark, cancellation 'VALLEJO 18 7 1955 CANTAL'.
