View of the Saint-Jean Gate of the Gothic cathedral in Limoges, with its ornate portal featuring sculptures and stained glass. The reverse has a handwritten letter dated November 4, 1918, addressed to 'Mon cher Lucien', mentioning a visit to the cathedral and the waiting for a letter.
