View of the apse of the Saint-Pierre Cathedral in Lisieux, in ruins, with its two Gothic spires and broken-arch windows. The reverse features a handwritten letter dated July 12, 1937, sent by Mr. and Mrs. J. Fontaine to their children in Berguignies, with a 40-centime French Republic postage stamp.
