Black and white view of the entrance to the fort on Île Sainte-Marguerite, with stone walls and a maritime landscape in the background. The reverse features handwritten text mentioning an uneventful crossing and a stop in Nice, addressed to Daniel Mann in Le Havre, with a 15-centime stamp and a postmark from Cannes dated 1954.
