View of the Romanesque portal of the church of ARS on the Island of Ré, with its sculpted columns and capitals. The reverse features a handwritten letter dated Sunday, August 8, 1937, addressed to a close person, signed by J. D. M. and mentioning the artistic editions Raymond Bergevin, La Rochelle.
