View of the ruins of Longwy-Haut after the destructions of World War I, with a ruined church in the center. The reverse features a handwritten letter dated September 29th, 1922, sent to Monsieur & Madame Beffron in Xanderill, Barbezieux, by a soldier on leave in Cordoba, mentioning his travel ticket to Marseille and his return to his family.
