Description

Engraved portrait of Louis XVI in period costume, with printed text on the front summarizing his life and execution. The back indicates the publisher and instructions for addressing and correspondence. The front text mentions his birth in Versailles in 1754, his recall in 1788, his fall in 1789, his flight to Varennes in 1792, and his execution by guillotine on January 21, 1793. It is noted that he married Marie-Antoinette in 1770.
