Black-and-white aerial view of the Lourdes basilica, with its imposing bell tower and circular stairs, surrounded by mountains. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated August 12, 1952, sent from Lourdes, mentioning a visit to Gavarnie, and a 15-centime stamp with postmark 'LOURDES 12-8-52'.
