View of the Lourdes basilica and grotto, with a statue of the Virgin Mary at the lower right. The reverse features a handwritten letter dated May 28, 1952, sent from Lourdes to Madame M. Roger at L'Étang des Champs, Morlaix, with an 8 franc stamp and a circular cancellation from Lourdes.
