Description

Interior view of the Lourdes cave with a statue of the Virgin Mary in the background, surrounded by many wax sticks and crosses. A priest is visible praying in front of an altar. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated September 14, 1938, addressed to Madame Jean Kéransy in Saint-Marc-sur-Mer (Brest), mentioning the 'precious' cave and the 'kindness' of the Virgin. Two French postage stamps (15c and 40c) are affixed at the bottom right.
