Black and white portrait of King Ludwig II of Bavaria, dressed in ornate attire and wearing the cross of the Order of George, with the note '† on 13.6.1886' at the bottom. The reverse features a circular postmark from 'Sönigeburg' in Munich, indicating 'Photography' and 'Original Photograph', with mentions of 'Authenticity' and 'Art and Ethnography'.
