Description

Monumental hammered and repoussé lead sculpture depicting the River being drawn toward the sea by four sea horses, work of the sculptor Bartholdi, erected in 1892. On the reverse, handwritten correspondence addressed to Mrs. Élise Bonnel in Chambéry, 10-centime postage stamp and Lyon obliteration postmark dated November 14, 1904.
