Description

Black and white view of the imposing façade of the Notre-Dame de Fourvière basilica, with its two towers and ornate portal in the foreground, and the Ancient Chapel visible to the right. The reverse bears the inscription 'Notre-Dame de Fourvière and the Ancient Chapel', number 36029, and a handwritten address to Henri F. Suducène in Lyon. A 18 franc postage stamp from 1951 is affixed, with a Lyon 1st cancellation dated August 22, 1951.
