Description

View of the Republic Monument in Lyon, on Carnot Square, dated 1899. The monument, adorned with sculptures and a central statue, is surrounded by trees and urban buildings. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated September 17, 1917, addressed to Mr. and Mrs. Martet in Eguilles (84), with a green 10-centime stamp and a postmark from Lyon Rhône dated February 17, 1918.
