View of Republic Square in Lyon, centered on the Carnot Monument, with trams and pedestrians. In the background, the Grande Pharmacie Lyonnaise and Morin Omega shop. The reverse features a handwritten correspondence addressed to Madame Leon Valotte in Montpellier, dated July 21, 1918, with a stamp and a Lyon (Jillotière) postmark, and a water stain at the bottom right.
