Description

Black and white view of the Mangoro River in Madagascar, with houses along the water's edge and two wooden canoes on the shore. The reverse features a handwritten letter dated April 5, 1942, addressed to 'Dear Madame Lucienne' in Paris, signed 'P. de la Deveze', and mentioning the address of the 'Œuvre des Prêtres Malgaches'.
