View of the monument to Emilio Castelar in Madrid, with an equestrian statue at the top and several men in period clothing at the base. Printed text at the bottom: '89 MADRID.—Monumento á Castelar'. Reverse: handwritten address to Charles Bellanis in Nîmes, Spanish 5-cent postage stamp, postmark from Madrid dated 11 September 1911, and distribution postmark from Paris dated 18 September 1911.
